The packing layer inside the spray tower serves as a mass transfer device for the gas-liquid two-phase contact component. The bottom of the packed tower is equipped with a packing support plate, and the packing is placed on the support plate in a disorderly manner. The spray liquid of the spray tower is sprayed onto the packing through the liquid distributor from the top of the tower and flows down along the surface of the packing. Gas is sent from the bottom of the tower, distributed by the gas distribution device, and continuously flows against the liquid through the gaps in the packing layer. On the surface of the packing, the gas-liquid two phases are in close contact for mass transfer. When liquid flows downwards along the packing layer, wall flow phenomenon may sometimes occur, and the wall flow effect causes uneven distribution of gas-liquid phases in the packing layer, resulting in a decrease in mass transfer efficiency. Therefore, the filling layer inside the spray tower is divided into two sections, with a redistribution device installed in the middle. After redistribution, it is sprayed onto the lower filling layer.

1. Adjustment of circulating water volume: It is determined by the spray tower water supply pump. When one boiler is running, one can be turned on. When two or three pumps are running simultaneously in winter, both pumps should be turned on. The flow rate of the mud pump should be adjusted according to the flow rate of the circulating pump to make it equal.
2. Dosage in the dosing tank of the spray tower: When running a boiler, add 2 bags of alkali and 5 bags of hydrated lime. If two or three boilers are running in winter, the dosage can be increased by a corresponding multiple.
The sedimentation tank of the spray tower should be cleaned regularly, once a week in summer and once every three days in winter.
4. When discharging the ash water separator, it should be discharged once per shift. The discharge valves should be opened separately until clear water is discharged.
